About Loren
Loren Wilder is a theater artist, production designer, educator, and creator whose work explores the intersection of performance, visual storytelling, and human connection.
With an MFA in Scenic and Lighting Design and more than four decades in the performing arts, Loren began her career fascinated by the marriage of artistry and technology—particularly the ability of light to transform space, perception, and emotion. Her work has since expanded across scenic and lighting design, dance, live performance, multimedia, immersive environments, and the development of original theatrical works.
At the center of Loren’s work is a lifelong curiosity about the inner life: how we understand ourselves, how we encounter one another, and how art can alter the way we experience something we thought we already knew.
She believes theater is uniquely capable of creating those moments. Music, movement, light, image, and story converge in a shared space, allowing an audience not simply to observe an idea, but to experience it together.
Today, Loren continues to design, teach, write, and develop original work rooted in that intersection of art, consciousness, and human possibility.
Her guiding belief is simple: meaningful change begins within us—and art can help illuminate the way.
